There's an audio system that includes Bluetooth™## connectivity for audio streaming and hands-free mobile calls fitted as standard on all WorkMate and SR models. There's Cruise Control on all SR5 and SR models, while all SR5 models now come with Satellite Navigation#, Single Zone Climate Control and a Mulit-Information Display.Structurally, HiLux includes rust resistant panelling (with under-body protection plates and sidesteps on 4x4s), a rigid body, a one-piece chassis with a thick side rail and a high-quality latch and pole type tailgate on a larger deck. Its durability is built into both the advanced VVT-i petrol engine and the electronically controlled common rail injection turbo diesel, plus the stainless steel exhaust and muffler, inner & outer protection layers sealing the fuel tank (petrol), the long-life diesel fuel filter and the sound and vibration proofing.

HiLux exceeds many of the tough standards set by Toyota's Global Outstanding Assessment (GOA) and has been tried and tested in all weathers on all terrains, by generations of satisfied Australian owners. The ute is packed with advanced safety technology, both passive and active. SRS Airbags, Crumple Zone technology and ABS brakes are standard across the range, while Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) is standard on 4x4 SR5 Dual Cab models and optional on 4x4 SR Dual Cab Pick up models.
